Analisis Percepatan Tanah Permukaan Di Wilayah Riau Dengan Metode Psha

Abstract: The western region of Sumatra Island is an area located on the world's active plate margin, which is reflected by the high frequency of earthquake events. An effort to reduce the impact of the earthquake disaster is to conduct a seismic hazard analysis. There have been many studies on seismic hazard in the West Sumatra region. Still, in the surrounding areas such as Riau, which borders directly with the territory, there has never been an earthquake hazard mapping micro zonation. This study aims to determine th… Show more

“…Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Analysis is the term used to describe the application of probability concepts to seismic hazard analysis (PSHA). By utilising the logic tree concept, the PSHA method takes into account uncertainty in determining earthquake parameters such as maximum magnitude, GMPE equation selection, model selection (recurrence model), and recurrence rate [7]. The stages of probabilistic analysis in determining Peak Ground Acceleration (PGA) are presented in Figure 3.…”

“…After converting the earthquake data to a magnitude scale (Magnitude moment), it is declustring, or separated into dependent and independent earthquakes. Additional dependent earthquake occurrences will result in a modest rise in the seismic hazard analysis results [7]. In this research, dependent and independent earthquake separation methods were developed using empirical models from Gardner and Knopoff (1974).…”

“…Based on the analysis of the 250 m buffer on both sides of the Semangko Fault, there are three locations within the planned area which are outside the active fault zone but this area is located in an earthquake-prone area [5] Elvis Saputra et. all in [6] conducted research on seismic hazards in the Riau region which is directly adjacent to West Sumatra which is an area with high seismic risk. The analysis uses the Probabilistic Seismic Hazard (PSHA) method with the help of The SR Model software.…”
