Analisis Surface Urban Heat Island Menggunakan Teknik Penginderaan Jauh Berbasis Cloud Computing Pada Google Earth Engine Di Kota Samarinda

Show more

“…Samarinda City also has the same characteristics as the Bontang City that is surrounded by coal mining area [17]. The UHI intensity in the city of Samarinda ranges from 1.5 -6 o C due to the high density built-up area [18]. With the existence of mining areas around the city of Samarinda, the UHI…”

“…Radiometric and atmospheric corrections must be applied because atmospheric effects generally affect the imagery, resulting in suboptimal spectral reflections on objects. According to (Dewantoro et al, 2021), the Landsat 5 imagery and Landsat 8 imagery employed in Google Earth Engine are indirectly corrected radiometrically and atmospherically. Thus, these corrections are not repeated to avoid reflectance bias.…”

“…However, it cannot be denied that several areas of Bandung City have warmer and even hotter temperatures than other cities, for example, Bogor City. The phenomenon of rising temperature in Bandung City is closely related to the Urban Heat Island (UHI) phenomenon or Urban Heat Island, where an urban area has a higher temperature than the surrounding areas [3,4]. One of the reasons that cause this phenomenon is the high urbanization in Bandung city [5] that eventually leads to UHI and will negatively affect health, energy, and food.…”
