This study aims to determine (1) the amount of income and income of farmers in the cultivation of corn during one growing season, (2) the amount of R/C of corn business in one growing season. This is done because many farmers have not done farming analysis to find out the profit or loss of corn cultivation starting from the cost of cultivation support equipment, the cost of production facilities, and the cost of the required labor. Farmers in Bocor Village, Buluspeseantren Sub-district, Kebumen Regency, especially in upland areas are able to plant two planting seasons in one year. Moreover, in recent years the selling price of dry shelled corn has been able to penetrate the price of 5000/kg. This research was conducted by interview method directly to one corn farmer. This interview was conducted with the aim of obtaining real data about the costs needed by farmers to cultivate corn in one growing season. The results of this study indicate that the total cost for one planting season is Rp. 20,445,002, - for revenue of Rp. 39,150,000, - so that the income value is Rp. 18,704,978. The amount of R/C in corn farming once a planting season per hectare is 1.91, meaning that for every Rp. 1,- the costs incurred will receive an income of Rp. 1.91,- and an income of Rp. 0.91.-. The analysis of the corn cultivation business shows that the farming is profitable and feasible because the R/C > 1 is 1.91. Keywords: Cultivation, Corn, Capital

Hydroponic, an agricultural cultivation technology, enabling farmers to plant more plants in a limited area. Therefore, it can be used to increase production, then gaining more profit. This study aimed to analyse production costs, incomes, break-even point , business efficiency, and financial feasibility of a hydroponic vegetable business. The method used in this study is direct interviews with the business owner, the head of the garden, the person in charge of the greenhouse and production and the person in charge of seeding. Serua Farm produces red spinach, green spinach, gai lan, and bok choy. The results show that the total production cost was Rp319,420,734 per hectare. Its profit was Rp. 688,579,266 or 68,31% from gross incomes. R/C was 3.16 meant that the business efficiency was good. B/C was 2.16 meant that the business is profitable and financially feasible. NPV was Rp552,162,558 and IRR 107,5%. PP value is five months six days.

Tomat adalah salah satu komoditas hortikultura yang bernilai ekonomis tinggi dan berpotensi untuk diekspor. Buah tomat memerlukan penanganan serius, terutama dalam hal peningkatan hasil, mutu, dan penanganan pascapanennya. Salah satu tahapan pascapanen produk segar hasil pertanian yang sangat penting adalah penyimpanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang alat yang mampu mengatur suhu dan memodifikasi komposisi gas di dalam suatu ruangan tertutup (Modified Atmosphere Storage, MAS), melakukan kajian matematis maupun statistika mengenai pengaruh komposisi gas serta variasi suhu udara ruang simpan terhadap berbagai sifat fisik buah tomat dan menentukan kombinasi perlakuan terbaik antara konsentrasi oksigen dan suhu ruang simpan untuk penyimpanan buah tomat. Penelitian dimulai dengan pembuatan peralatan MAS dengan berbagai kelengkapannya. Setelah peralatan MAS jadi, kemudian dilakukan pengujian dengan variasi perlakuan konsentrasi gas O2 3%, 10%, 15%, dan 21% dan suhu ruang MAS 10 °C, 15 °C, dan 28 °C, dengan sampel buah tomat. Pengamatan dilakukan setiap hari selama 15 hari terhadap perubahan kualitas fisik buah tomat yang disimpan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peralatan MAS dapat dibuat dari bahan-bahan yang tersedia dipasaran lokal dengan hasil yang memuaskan. Penurunan konsentrasi gas O2 ruang MAS dapat dilakukan dengan mengalirkan gas N2 kedalam ruang simpan MAS. Kombinasi perlakuan variasi konsentrasi oksigen dan suhu penyimpanan berpengaruh terhadap parameter laju respirasi, susut bobot, total padatan terlarut, pH, dan kekerasan buah. Secara umum kombinasi perlakuan terbaik adalah perlakuan dengan konsentrasi oksigen 10% dan suhu penyimpanan 15 °C.
