Analyses of Drugs by Polarographic Methods, XXX: Electrochemical Behaviour of Metaclazepam

Abstract: The electrochemical behaviour of the new anxiolytic drug metaclazepam (1) is studied. In buffers containing 10 % DMF, the compound is polarographically active over the entire pH range with a single well-defined wave. This wave has been characterised as being 2e-diffusion-controlled. The dihydro derivative 2 was synthesised by controlled potential electrolysis (c.p.e.).
