Analysing visual pattern of skin temperature during submaximal and maximal exercises

Abstract: h i g h l i g h t sWe examined skin temperature changes in similar body surface area cohort. A structural relation was observed in skin temperature variations among participants. Temperature pattern of skin was different between maximal and submaximal exercise. Thermal kinetic analysing may be useful tool for monitoring thermoregulations. New method was examined for determining skin temperature by infrared thermography. Aims of this study were to examine our hypotheses assuming that (a) skin temperature patter… Show more

“…For instance, it is important, that the muscles of scullers are equally involved in the performed movement to reach maximum velocity (Chudecka et al, 2015). Furthermore, studies tried to evaluate IRT as a tool for monitoring thermoregulation during and after endurance exercises (Balci, Basaran, & Colakoglu, 2016;Fröhlich et al, 2015;Merla et al, 2010;Priego Quesada et al, 2015;Priego Quesada et al, 2016).…”

“…Este método tem sido usado com sucesso na prevenção de lesões ortopédicas principalmente na área esportiva. (BALCI et al, 2016;BARBOSA, 2014). A Termografia representa a possibilidade de identificar a dor, a partir de uma resposta fisiológica, evitando a subjetividade do relato de queixa de dor dos funcionários na hora do exame.…”

“…[20][21][22][23], but there are few studies using infrared thermography (IRT). Nevertheless, the use of the IRT technique to evaluate skin temperature in health and sports is constantly growing, which shows the importance of this technique concerning performance in sports [24][25][26][27][28][29][30]. IRT makes detection of the heat pattern and blood flow possible by the use of a special camera to measure the temperature of the skin and is a safe and a noninvasive technique.…”
