Analysis of green supply chain management performance with green supply chain operation reference at the batik enterprise

Abstract: Nowadays, the Hayuningrum Batik Industry keeps trying to optimize the production of batik cloth until the batik cloth can be accepted by consumers, but the Hayuningrum Batik Industry lacks awareness about environmental issues. One effort that can be taken is by measuring the performance of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM). This study aims to calculate and analyze GSCM performance in the Hayuningrum Batik Industry in the year 2020 and provide proposed improvement to improve GSCM performance in the Hayuningr… Show more

“…This research comprises five stages: (1) identification of key performance indicators (KPIs) for the three levels of the Green SCOR metric, (2) application of the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to determine the weightage of each level of the Green SCOR metric, (3) normalization of indicators using Snorm De Boer method, (4) computation of green supply chain performance, and ( 5) development of proposed recommendations. This stage has likewise been conducted by other previous studies [21], [28], [29]. Study Munawir et al [21] evaluated the green supply chain performance in the batik industry, study Hapsari et al [30] assessed the green supply chain in shoe manufacturing, and study Qurtubi et al [29] evaluated the green supply chain practices in garment industries.…”

“…SCOR is designed for the entire supply chain process, such as planning, procurement, production, and distribution [19]. In addition, SCOR provides a systematic step consisting of identifying indicators for assessment criteria [21], converting the assessment processes into key performance indicators (KPIs) applied to the supply chain subsystem [22], and weighting the performance indicator using the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) approach [23].…”

“…The next stage is to choose a study strategy and gather data through questionnaire distribution and interviewing participants to collect both primary and secondary data. Designing Key Performance Indicators (KPI) [18], validating KPIs, weighting KPIs using the AHP technique [19], calculating normalization of Snorm de Boer, and calculating the overall value of supply chain performance comprise the third phase [20]. The fourth phase is to present an analysis of the findings in order to suggest changes, draw conclusions, and make improvements [21].…”

“…During the 1960s, each year, between fifteen and thirty worldwide business research projects were issued. An essay titled "Trends in International Business Research" was published in the JIBS editorial [39]. One of the article's main recommendations, which was highlighted twenty-five years ago, was that, despite the increasing pace of research in functional areas, more research in the field of international business is needed, with attention and focus on differences in cultures between countries and comparisons between nations.…”
