Analysis of Influence of a Crane Flexible Supports, Link Flexibility, and Joint Friction on Vibration Associated with Programmed Motion Execution

Abstract: Background The paper presents vibration analysis of dynamic models of systems with flexible mechanical components, friction modeled and subjected to position and kinematic programmed constraints, which can be imposed as control goals, work or service task demands. Methods The constrained dynamics is derived using an automated computational procedure dedicated to constrained systems. The procedure was successfully implemented to rigid system models. A class of systems composed of flexible parts and subjected to… Show more

“…The constrained underactuated control systems dynamics are presented in [9,10] for rigid models of underactuated systems. In [11] a dynamics approach to modeling, taking advantage of the automated computational procedure for constrained dynamics (CoPCoD) is presented. This procedure is based upon the constrained dynamics generation, in which the constraints that come from a system work regime, can be incorporated.…”

“…Many papers have studied the motion of the pendulum angle and related parameters. Some studies [11][12][13] investigated carrying pendulum systems and assumed these systems as a crane moving in the horizontal plane. De Angelis derived an observation model from the equation of motion of the coupled slung load system.…”

“…To eliminate such accidents and increase loader cranes stability, outriggers transmitting weight loads to the ground of the working platform are used [11]. When operating on weak soils, outriggers subside unevenly due to soil compaction under the influence of unsteady support reactions [12,13], which leads to crane swinging in the horizontal plane and to dangerous load swinging [14]. Additional anchoring of outriggers when operating mobile cranes on soft soils using screw or pricking devices is an effective way to improve their functional characteristics [1,15].…”
