Analysis of node deployment in wireless sensor networks in warehouse environment monitoring systems

Abstract: This paper mainly studies the deployment of wireless sensor network nodes in the warehouse environment monitoring system, discusses the deployment algorithm of wireless sensor network nodes in the warehouse environment, and finds out the node deployment scheme with better network performance through comparison. Wireless sensor network node deployment is the basis of wireless sensor network application in storage environment monitoring system. It affects the performance of the whole network and is the primary p… Show more

“…In Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), there are large number of geographically distributed sensor nodes to monitor environment parameters (indoor as well as outdoor) [1,2]. These sensor nodes are usually low cost and are capable to sense the environment along with sending the sensed data to the respective base station [3]. In fact, we can gather the required data from the sensor nodes by inserting our required queries because these nodes are instilled with their own communication devices [4,5].…”

“…A wireless sensor network is usually installed and set up in a hostile and unfriendly environment and left unattended or neglected in an unsecured environment [28]. It affects the performance of the entire network and it is the primary obstacle that must be solved and fixed in network application [29]. As it makes possibilities for an intruder to attack a network's node of the network physically and get illegitimate access to all valuable and very important information [30].…”

“…, 4) has been obtained by performing a site surveying analysis, considering both system level requirements on wireless channel connectivity and specific requirements for equipment deployment. Site surveying techniques have been analyzed in the literature, with particular emphasis for mobile communication systems and more recently, for wireless sensor networks [62], [63]. Depending on the application, static location (i.e., deterministic network topology, with a moderate number of nodes or with precise knowledge of the coverage area topology in which nodes are located at specific locations) or dynamic location (i.e., random network topology requirements with large scale deployments in areas with limited topological information, with no prior location and the application of statistical based modeling and subsequent optimization) techniques can be employed.…”
