The integration of sustainable indicators into supply-chain management (SCM), including cost, innovation capability, quality, service capability, long-term cooperation, environmental management system, pollution reduction, green image, social responsibility, and employment practices, has become essential for conducting strategic analyses of the entire supply-chain process competitive advantage. This study proposes a fuzzy integration multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) method to solve SCM issues. To navigate this complexity, a multi-criterion decision-making (MCDM) framework is employed, integrating MCDM methods with fuzzy logic to effectively address subjective environmental criteria. This innovative approach not only enhances supply-chain management (SCM) but also emphasizes the necessity for ongoing innovation in tackling contemporary supply-chain challenges. It serves as a cornerstone for sustainable supplier selection practices and optimizing SCM processes. In this study, a hybrid fuzzy MCDM method is proposed for supplier selection. The method addresses supplier selection by utilizing evaluations from expert decision-makers based on predetermined criteria. This comprehensive approach ensures that all relevant factors are considered, promoting sustainable and efficient supply-chain management.

Purpose: The objective of this research was to use structural equation modelling to illustrate guidelines for enhancing procurement management efficiency in the industrial business sectors. Theoretical framework: The conceptual framework was developed based on relevant studies and incorporated elements from procurement excellence models established by renowned organisations, including McKinsey’s successful procurement operating model (2018), BCG’s five pillars of procurement excellence (2019), and PwC’s operating procurement model (2019). Design/methodology/approach: This study utilised a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative (in-depth interviews and focus group discussions) and quantitative (survey) research methods. The quantitative data was collected through a questionnaire consisting of four parts, which was administered to 500 executives from industrial businesses. The data was analysed using descriptive, inferential, and multivariate statistical techniques. Findings: The guidelines thoroughly examined four key elements: organisational change, technology management, internal control process, and business alliance networks - influencing procurement management efficiency in Thailand. This analysis used confirmatory factor analysis, second-order confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation modelling. After modification, the final model included 23 observed variables under six hypotheses and was evaluated using congruence evaluation criteria to ensure its effectiveness. Research, Practical & Social implications: The researchers suggested that future studies focus on the specific characteristics of each industrial type, such as the automobile sector, food and beverage industry, or emerging S-curve and new S-curve segments. The future research results would allow for a more in-depth analysis of the unique factors that impact procurement management efficiency within each industry. Originality/value: The findings suggest that the developed models can serve as valuable guidelines for industrial businesses looking to improve their procurement management systems and implement effective strategies. By adopting these models, businesses may enhance their profitability and optimise their use of resources, thereby improving overall efficiency.

Plastic waste is an issue highlighted in Indonesia, especially the management of plastic waste and COVID-19 plastic waste. Now it is often the talk of society about how to manage plastic waste, COVID-19 plastic waste, and why people throw it away not according to regulations. This study aims to analyze the weaknesses of the waste management policy strategy and provide the best solution. A qualitative research approach using purposive sampling has been determined for policy-makers at the provincial and city levels, COVID-19 waste and waste managers, informal community leaders, and community members. Initial data was obtained using a Systematic Literature Review, and further data was obtained from in-depth interviews with 180 key informants. The results of this study indicate that the success of COVID-19 plastic waste management will run more optimally if it is communicated to the entire community community through the information, communication, and education program, follows procedures, has an adequate budget, increases knowledge through training, and disseminates regulations to improve community behavior. The contribution of this research lies in two key factors; namely, success is largely determined by the involvement of the House of Representatives Province and City to increase the budget for plastic waste and Covid-19 waste management and increase public knowledge through regulatory communication.
