Analysis of the management of choledocholithiasis and it’s outcome with the role of preoperative endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography and magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography

Abstract: Background: Choledocholithiasis implies stones in the common bile duct (CBD). Most of the common bile duct stones are those that have passed into the bile duct from the gall bladder. About 20 to 25% of patients above the age of 60 with symptomatic gall stones are likely to have stones in the CBD.
