Analysis of various hole transport layers (HTLs) on the performance of CZTS- solar cell

Abstract: CZTS is a potential absorber material and received a lot of focus because of its excellent optoelectronic properties. To improve the functionality of CZTS-based solar cells, this study examines the potential HTLs (MoTe2, Cu2O, and SnS) and their contribution to the better performance of the device. HTL improves the overall performance of the device by decreasing the recombination rate at the back contact and photon energy absorption. The impact of the various device parameters such as absorber layer thicknes… Show more

“…In this subsection, variation in temperature from 300 to 400 K have been done and studied accordingly. 3 All the simulated J-V curve and PV parameters are obtained as given in Figure 6A,B, respectively. As depicted in Figure 6 which shows that while increasing the temperature from 300 to 400 K, all the PV parameters tends to decrease in both BSF and without BSF cases.…”

“…Back contact metal-work function and its impact on the device In this study, the work function of the back contact is tuned from 5 eV to 5.7 eV[21][22][23][24][25] and the corresponding cell performance is presented in figure 9. From the figure, it is evident that the efficiency increases with an increase in the back contact metal work function.…”
