“…Results can be obtained if the occupational safety and health culture in the company continues to be developed. Based on the model that shows the influence of occupational safety and health culture, work safety culture must start from top management on occupational safety issues, then the implementation of work safety plays an important role in improving the performance of company employees (Samaranayake et al, 2021). In accordance with the findings, the higher the occupational safety and health culture applied by top management, the higher the performance (Grinerud et al, 2021).…”

“…The industry is fraught with many types of hazardous chemicals, complex and changeable chemical reaction processes, and dangerous facilities. The chemical laboratory is a hazardous workplace laden with many flammable, explosive, highly toxic, high-temperature, and high-pressure substances. University chemical laboratories are more dangerous than industry laboratories due to their lower safety investment, looser safety management and neglectful safety atmosphere. In recent years, chemical laboratory accidents have occurred frequently in Chinese universities . Examples include: an explosion occurred in the laboratory of Beijing Jiaotong University on December 26, 2018, resulting in the death of three graduate students; a reactor explosion occurred in the laboratory of the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences on March 31, 2021, resulting in the death of a graduate student; a deflagration accident occurred in the laboratory of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics on October 24, 2021, resulting in two deaths and nine injuries .…”

“…Yang et al, 2019). The construction rate of the laboratory has increased significantly, but laboratory safety accidents occur from time to time (Keckler et al, 2019;Ménard & Trant, 2020;Olewski & Snakard, 2017;Salazar-Escoboza et al, 2020;Samaranayake et al, 2022;Walters et al, 2017;Wirth et al, 2020;Wu et al, 2008;J.
