“…The ethanolic extract, hexane fraction, E ‐phytol, cycloartenol, stigmasterol, β ‐sitosterol, campesta‐5, 7, 22‐trien‐3β‐ol, ketosteroids stigmasta‐4‐en‐3‐one, stigmasta‐4‐22‐dien‐3‐one and epidioxysterol identified from M. citrifolia demonstrated moderate antitubercular activity (Saludes et al, ). The methanolic extract of the dried M. citrifolia fruit was found active to Penicillium, Fusarium and Rhizopus species (Jainkittivong et al, ) and C. albicans (Barani et al, ). The ethanolic extract of M. citrifolia L. fruit showed antimicrobial activity to S. aureus and E. coli (Candida et al, ).…”

“…Thus, this proves that M. citrifolia fruit extract had an antifungal effect on C. albicans, and the inhibitory effect varied with concentration and contact time. Furthermore, a similar study performed by Barani et al 33 proved that M. citrifolia fruit extract had an antifungal effect on C. albicans, and the inhibitory effect varied with concentration. 34…”
