Anti-inflammatory effects of green soybean extract irradiated with visible light

Abstract: We conducted a preliminary investigation of the effects of visible light irradiation on plant extracts, and we observed a strong suppressive effect on interleukin (IL) 2 expression with the inhibition of c-Jun amino-terminal kinase (JNK) phosphorylation in Jurkat cells by visible light irradiation to ethanol extract from green soybeans (LIEGS). This effect was produced only by extracts from green soybeans (Glycine max) and not other-color soybeans. LIEGS suppressed the lipopolysaccharide-induced IL-6, IL-12 an… Show more

“…and several other plants [118][119][120][121]. Beta-sitosterol D-glucoside has many pharmacological activities [118][119][120][121][122][123][124] such as androgenic, antiadenomic, anticancer [129][130][131][132][133][134], antiedemic [135], and antiinflammatory [136][137][138][139][140][141][142]. Sitosterol has a structure such as cholesterol that later in the body can become the precursor of testosterone and The maximum score of the addition is eight [40,94] has been supposed to have an antifertility, and sex steroids have been implicated in the development and maintenance of Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and use of androgen reducing compounds, such as 5α-reductase inhibitors which block the conversion of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone [14,32,52].…”

“…In the present study, we focused on green soybean and compared the effect on brain function relative to a yellow soybean cultivar. While yellow soybeans, which are the most abundant and have mainly been studied, green soybean extract (GSE) was recently reported to have immune-modulatory and anti-inflammatory effects [8,9]. In addition, we recently reported that the ingestion of GSE ameliorated cognitive dysfunction and amyloid β (Aβ) accumulation in aged senescence-accelerated mice (SAMP10) [10].…”

“…To date, several pharmacological studies on puerarin, daidzin have been performed, applying liquid chromatography (LC), joint liquid chromatography with mass spectrometry (LC-MS), and liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-mass spectrometry (LC-ESI-MS) to provide chemical properties of investigated compounds [10][11][12]. NMR chemical shifts of daidzein and puerarin have also been measured [13][14][15]; however, magnetic shielding has never been reported for either compound. The present work reports experimental 1 H and 13 C NMR chemical shifts of daidzein and puerarin dissolved in methanol-d 4 .…”

The present work reports experimental 1 H and 13 C NMR chemical shifts of daidzein and puerarin dissolved in methanol-d 4 . For the same solutions, we also completed measurements of magnetic shielding using an original method from our laboratory [16].…”
