Antibacterial Activity of Lantana camara Flower Extracts Against Growth of Pathogenic Bacteria Isolated from Wounds and Burns Infections

Abstract

Clinical samples 200 were collected from patients hospitalized in Baquba Teaching Hospital / Diyala during September 2021 to the end of January 2022. The clinical samples were distributed into 145 (72%) of wounds and 55 (27.5%) of burn samples. The samples were sub cultured on Blood agar Macckonky agar and Mannitol salt agar, isolated were examined microscopically and diagnosed by using biochemical tests which showed, Staphylococcus aureus 30 (17.6%) and Staphylococcus epidermidis 13 (7.64%) and Acinetobacter baumannii 56 (32.9%)
