Antibacterial and Antioxidant Activity of Metabolites From Bioconverted Docosahexaenoic Acid Using Gut Bacteria

Abstract: Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is an essential fatty acid necessary for brain development in both infants and adults. However, the role of gut microbiome and their metabolites produced from DHA remain unclear.
