Green tea is a plant that contains phytochemicals, namely polyphenols, alkaloids, volatile oils, polysaccharides, amino acids, lipids, and vitamin C. Flavonoids have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, and antibacterial activity. These advantages can be increased in terms of benefits and economic value by making it in the form of liquid soap. The addition of green tea is expected to increase the antioxidant effect of the soap preparations made. The study aims to provide training on making liquid hand-washing soap from steeping green tea leaves. The training activity for making liquid hand-washing soap with the addition of green tea was carried out as an effort to increase health independence and provide entrepreneurial provisions for the PKK community in Kranggan Village, Polanharjo, Klaten. The training was attended by 20 participants with presentation methods and practice in making liquid hand-washing soap. The result of this service activity is that the community knows how to make hand-washing soap from green tea and knows the function of the ingredients used in the process of making hand-washing soap. The purpose of the current study was to determine the total phenolic and flavonoid content and total antioxidant activity of the Curcuma longa, Acorus calamus, and Camellia sinensis ethanolic extracts and their free radical scavenging activity. The study concluded that the Curcuma longa, Acorus calamus, and Camellia sinensis ethanolic extracts have a good source of phenolics, flavonoids, and antioxidant sources in turn which opens the high possibility of the extracts being used as food preservatives. The DPPH assay for scavenging free radicals showed that the IC 50 value was above 123% of Curcuma longa ethanolic extract, 129.9% µg/ml of Acorus calamus ethanolic extract and 25% of Camellia sinensis ethanolic extracts shows very strong inhibition of the free radicals. Thus, comparing the DPPH assay for scavenging free radicals of Curcuma longa, Acorus calamus and Camellia sinensis ethanolic extracts with the positive control ascorbic acid, Curcuma longa and Camellia sinensis ethanolic extracts showed strong inhibition of the free radicals.

Teh hijau diketahui mengandung senyawa polifenol, yang sangat mendukung aktivitasantioksidannya Aktivitas tersebut membuat ekstrak teh hijau bisa dimanfaatkan secaraoral ataupun topikal Pada penggunaan topikal, perlu dilakukan upaya untukmeningkatkan kemampuan penetrasi perkutan salah satunya dengan pengembangansediaan nanoemulsi Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sediaannanoemulsi antioksidan mengandung ekstrak teh hijau dengan minyak calendulasebagai fase minyak dengan karakteristik yang baik Teh hijau diekstraksi denganmetode refluks menggunakan etanol 96 sebagai pelarut Pengujian aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak dilakukandengan metode peredaman DPPH Ekstrak selanjutnyadikembangkan menjadi sediaan nanoemulsi dengan menggunakan surfaktan tween 80dan kosurfaktan PEG 400 Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, ekstrak etanol teh hijaumemiliki aktivitas antioksidan yang sangat kuat dengan nilai IC 50502,14 ± 0,01 ppm. Ekstrak etanol berhasil dikembangkan menjadi sediaan nanoemulsi dengan menggunakan minyak calendula sebagai fase minyak, pada perbandingan minyak dan Smix (campuran surfaktan dan kosurfaktan) 1:12 dan perbandingan surfaktan dan kosurfaktan 2:1. Sediaan nanoemulsi teh hijau memiliki karakteristik fisik yang baik, ditandai dengan penampilan yang transparan, ukuran globul 15,97 ± 0,49 nm dan nilai indeks polidipersitas 0,29 ± 0,01. Sediaan nanoemulsi juga stabil merujuk pada pengujian heating cooling, sentrifugasi, dan freeze thaw. Telah berhasil dikembangkan sediaan nanoemulsi mengandung minyak calendula dan ekstrak teh hijau dengan karakteristik dan stabilitas fisik yang baik.
