Aortic valve sclerosis in patients with acute myocardial infarction: a marker of increased risk of re-infarction

Abstract: Background: Patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) are at increased risk of recurrent cardiovascular events. Aortic valve sclerosis (AVSc), which reflects a systemic damage, may serve as a marker of risk.
