The increasing number of clothing activities in Indonesia has resulted in companies having to increase their marketing and production activities in order to obtain maximum profit. One of the factors influencing the growth of basic clothing is the price of the middle class in Indonesia. This can be a strong foundation for a long-term clothing consumer base. One of the businesses engaged in the production of clothing is a garment production business. The problem that is often faced by companies is limited resources such as raw materials, capital, time, etc. Production planning is a process to produce goods in a certain period in accordance with those predicted through the organization of resources. Therefore, production optimization is one way to optimize profit and apparel production. This study aims to apply the Integer Linear Programming model and is completed using the Branch and Bound method to obtain the optimal number of clothing production in order to obtain maximum profit. The conclusion obtained from the research is the application of the Branch and Bound method to the problem of optimizing production planning at PT. GM Tactical to obtain more optimal results compared to the actual production carried out by the company.

Resource allocation in the production process are important things that need to be considered to achieve optimal production levels. Production optimization problems are still an obstacle for most businesses operating in the food sector. One of them is the “Taufik Tempe” business which produces tempeh in three different sizes, namely large, medium, and small. The business owner finds it difficult to determine the amount of production according to market demand and minimize production costs for maximum profits. This research aims to solve the profit optimization problem of “Taufik Tempe” with appropriate production allocation to achieve maximum profits. The method used is the method of data collection and data analysis. Data collection methods include field studies (observations and interviews) and literature review. Meanwhile, data analysis uses the simplex method and uses MATLAB software. Data analysis techniques using observation and interviews. Meanwhile, the research results show that the maximum profit per month obtained is Rp 750.000,00 by focusing on producing only large-sized tempeh. Furthermore, by using MATLAB software the same results are obtained as using the simplex method but with a simple, effective and efficient algorithm, ofcourse with precise results and the use of this software aims to avoid calculation errors.

Poultry need food to maintain their lives and to produce. To meet the needs of these nutritional elements, poultry eat from various types of food. Because there is no single food ingredient that contains a complete nutritional element, so we need a variety of appropriate and balanced food ingredients to meet nutritional needs. This can be done by choosing cheap food ingredients without ignoring the quality of the nutritional content that is adjusted to the type and age of poultry. To solve the above problems, an expert system with a forward chaining method can be used to determine the nutritional needs and nutritional content of food ingredients, while linear programming with the simplex method is used to determine the combination of poultry feed-forming ingredients that meet economical poultry nutritional needs. The combination of the forward chaining method and the simplex method can accelerate the preparation of combinations of food ingredients, so that the resulting application can provide a solution in making decisions for the selection of food ingredients forming ration effectively
