Application of Alloyed Cast Iron to Increase the Durability of Products of the Mining and Metallurgical Industry

Abstract: The article shows the relevance of the use of alloyed cast iron in mining and metallurgical engineering. The use of cast iron alloyed with titanium and vanadium has not been sufficiently studied for the working bodies and friction units of mining machines, such as pumps, coal scoops, hydrocyclones, crushers and mills. They have the main abrasive type of wear. This work considers the influence of titanium and vanadium on the mechanical properties. The performance indicators of parts of mining machines and metal… Show more

“…The analysis of numerous sources revealed a large number of factors that affect the processes of reducing resource costs in the operation of mining machines [12][13][14][15].At the same time the sticking to the working equipment is significantly influenced by the factors shown in Fig10. When the quarry is deepened, the temperature of the rock mass increases by about 1 degree-30 meters.…”

“…Baum B A et al [45] argue that the thermal treatment of melts is a mandatory procedure in the smelting of chromium cast irons. D. Lubyanoi et al in their work [46] recommend different TTM modes for WCC irons. Thus, when WCC17 cast iron is smelted, it is proposed to perform heating and holding at 1520 °C-1540 °C, WCC17N2 cast iron at 1500 °C-1520 °C and WCC22N2MD2F cast iron at 1480 °C-1500 °C.…”
