Application of Blended Learning for Formation of Project Competence of Future Engineers

Engineering education is an important part of preparing quality graduates for the challenges of the Covid-19 and post-pandemic conditions, and electronics engineering education is no exception. Blended learning-based projects as an alternative to innovative learning at this time. This study aims to explore and explain the application of blended learning-based projects in electronics engineering education courses. The research method used is a project-based product design and development carried out by blended learning. We conduct our project activities in higher education special students from Electronic Engineering Education that take part in the learning of this project. Students who participate are only limited to small groups to avoid the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, in 1 small group consisting of 3-5 people and there is 1 group leader who manages the work, while other members are supportive and help complete joint projects. The results of this study show the ability of students to work by implementing project-based learning in producing products, namely Exhaust Fan products based on Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP) as a form of a mini prototype that can be used for small household scale industries. The ability of students to work on product manufacturing by applying the principles of project-based learning in the category already has the ability to, skilled and thoroughly working on the project that was planned until it succeeded in becoming a product prototype which was carried out in project-based blended learning.

The requirements of job market nowdays put emphasys on the importance of emotional intelligence and social behaviour. This fact determines the educational requirements of future teachers. One offthe efficient ways for this is to use imp-roving and student focused methods. In this particular study we introduce a small part of the results of an experi-mental program that helped to acknowledge some of the cooperative methods and the improvement of soical skills among the participants. From 2015, by the ivolvement of more and more new students groups the students experienced using the methods, the effects of them and the individual use fo them during the pedagogy program. According to the results and feed-backs we can that we got the following result like the imporvement of social skills,the usage of these skills in the future, the need of getting to know new methods and the deeper connection towards students. Prior methodological knowledge and the measurement of participants' social skills are the subject of another study. Here, attitudes and opinions about joint work and changes, as well as some aspects of the development of social compe-tence, are summarized.

Mapping of Scientific Production on Blended Learning in Higher Education

Blended learning is a set of pedagogical strategies and practices that are closely related to the emergence of new technologies in society and in higher education. They are characterized by a combination of face-to-face and online learning that integrates a variety of materials in the teaching and learning process. The aim of our research was to analyze scientific production on this topic using two prestigious international databases: Scopus and Web of Science (WOS). A bibliometric study was conducted on 508 papers, and content analysis was performed on 119 openly accessible publications. Results show that blended learning is being applied in all scientific and professional spheres. This learning model is praised for its positive impact on motivation and learning effectiveness, as well as for promoting student autonomy. With respect to content, it is worth noting that many authors observe that methodological success is related to cultural context and access to devices and materials. Furthermore, it is suggested that greater methodological diversity is preferable to a single hegemonic approach. In short, the present paper contributes to the educational community by shedding light on how blended learning is being implemented and its impact on higher education.
