Application of electroactive Au/aniline tetramer–graphene oxide composites as a highly efficient reusable catalyst

Abstract: The stable and reusable Au/ATGO composites were prepared. Aniline tetramer not only modified GO but also can anchor Au NPs. The Au/ATGO composites as a catalyst exhibit good cycling stability.

“…And for 1Au/EPI-5 and 3Au/EPI-5, which are take about 43 min and 25 min. these results show the AuNPs is an essential substance for catalyst, and their characteristics affect the catalytic activity [ 52 , 53 ]. We can get the order of catalytic activity: 5Au/EPI-5 > 3Au/EPI-5 > 1Au/EPI-5, which may be attributed to the successful loading of Au (reference TGA analysis) and the electronic metal-support interactions between the EPI-5 and AuNPs.…”

“…In our previous studies, aniline oligomers and electroactive polymers incorporating graphene oxide, SiO 2 , Au NPs, or carbon nanotubes were used as catalysts, 26 anti-corrosion coating materials, 27 and chemical sensors. 28,29 Poly(amic acid) (PAA), containing amide and carboxyl groups, is a typical precursor for polyimides.…”
