“…In this study, ATR–FTIR (attenuated total reflection–FTIR) spectroscopy was used to quantitatively assess species-specific changes of protein, lipid and carbohydrate content in the biomass of six natural Nordic microalgal strains [31] and one culture collection (control) strain during progressive nitrogen starvation.
