The aim of the paper at hand is to discuss how digital transformations can improve citizens' well-being in terms of cultural consumption possibilities. Culture is traditionally inextricably connected to the life of a city. So far the digital revolution has improved virtually all areas of activity within cities, such as communication, transportation, distribution, healthcare, finance, education, and business. On a similar note, it is high time for culture to follow the same trend in order for citizens to benefit from improved cultural accessibility and inclusion. Without the latter, the cultural experience would be less accessible and/or more costly. First, we showcase local initiatives regarding cultural technology. We then analyze the main initiatives in terms of public policy aimed at improving accessibility and inclusion for memory institutions (galleries, libraries, archives and museums), as well as their implications. Further, we present the main achievements in terms of cultural digitization using as reference the European Digital Library, Europeana. We conclude by highlighting the main benefits and challenges of developing smart culture, with a focus on citizens' well-being.

To study how to display the scientific and technological information of enterprise products through interactive dissemination and make a pre-marketing, the Internet of Things is integrated and how to attract people's attention and interact more with the support of the Internet of Things technology is discussed. With the rapid development of science and technology, there are more and more platforms to display enterprise products. Because of its extensive application needs, it opens a new direction for the development of various fields in China and provides new innovative ideas. In terms of product exhibition, the Internet of Things may connect various scenarios of product use, satisfy the practical needs of consumers, truly realize customer experience, gain the trust of consumers, and ultimately facilitate transactions. Therefore, referring to relevant literature and through the perception layer of the Internet of Things, obtain the information of visitors, guide them to exhibition visits, and give feedback in the process of experience. The results show that the identification and sensing technology in the Internet of Things can be applied to the interactive display, which can interact with the visitors well, not only let them have a better experience, but also achieve efficient marketing in the exhibition. It lays a certain foundation for expanding the audience of related technologies and products after that but also provides new ideas for the application of the Internet of Things technology in the direction of cultural communication.

Museum contents are vulnerable to bad ambience conditions and human vandalization. Preserving the contents of museums is a duty towards humanity. In this paper, we develop an Internet of Things (IoT)-based system for museum monitoring and control. The developed system does not only autonomously set the museum ambience to levels that preserve the health of the artifacts and provide alarms upon intended or unintended vandalization attempts, but also allows for remote ambience control through authorized Internet-enabled devices. A key differentiating aspect of the proposed system is the use of always-on and power-hungry sensors for comprehensive and precise museum monitoring, while being powered by harvesting the Radio Frequency (RF) energy freely available within the museum. This contrasts with technologies proposed in the literature, which use RF energy harvesting to power simple IoT sensing devices. We use rectenna arrays that collect RF energy and convert it to electric power to prolong the lifetime of the sensor nodes. Another important feature of the proposed system is the use of deep learning to find daily trends in the collected environment data. Accordingly, the museum ambience is further optimized, and the system becomes more resilient to faults in the sensed data.
