Abstract. Purpose: to theoretically substantiate and test experimentally pedagogic conditions of positive motivation's formation as the basis for students will and physical qualities' perfection in physical culture practicing. Material: 244 first year students participated in experiment. At the beginning and at the end of experiment levels of manifestation of students' will and physical qualities were assessed. Results: we have proved successfulness of will training if this process is naturally coincides with formation of positive motivation and perfection of motor fitness. It was found that motivation for physical culture practicing result from different demands: demand in motion, demand in fulfillment of student's duties and demand in competition functioning. Conclusions: we have offered the following pedagogic conditions: application of game and competition methods: setting of appropriate for students tasks of training; usage of sufficient sport equipment and apparatuses; forcing of students for independent physical culture practicing through system of encouragement.

The article discusses the current state of existing approaches to programming classes in professionally oriented education of students in institutions of higher education. The following research methods were used in the work: analysis, comparison and generalization of scientific literature, practical research, personal work experience, comparisons. The data of scientific and methodological literature and practical studies are analyzed and summarized, which argue that the current approaches to programming physical education classes and professionally-applied physical training of students need improvement. It was found that the methods of rational planning of these classes depend on many indicators: a combination of various means, their dosages, orientation, taking into account the functional state of the body, physical fitness, and the direction of future students' professional activities. The conditions for programming classes are determined under which physical education of students would be an effective method of strengthening personal health, increasing the level of physical condition, their physical performance: regularity of classes, their variability, individual approach, taking into account the interests and preferences of students, as well as the use of wellness technologies, which in turn, will contribute to the formation of positive motivation for physical education classes, the basics of self-healing Noah activities, development of professional skills. The studies made it possible to argue that at the present stage in the system of physical education, professionally oriented training is of particular importance, as a result of which the market of highly qualified specialists can provide. An analysis of the existing approaches to programming physical education classes and professionally-applied training of students needs to be improved, and despite the scientific studies of domestic and foreign scientists, the problems of professionally-applied physical training can be solved only if thorough scientific research is carried out.
This article presents the results of the questionnaire and comparison, which allows determining the interest of first-year students in different types of physical activity at the National University of Water and Environmental Engineering. The purpose of the study is to determine students’ interest in different types of physical activity offered as part of physical education in a higher educational institution. According to their preferences, first-year students are suggested to choose either team sports (football, mini-football, volleyball, basketball), individual sports (table tennis, athletics, arm wrestling, weightlifting, boxing, swimming, chess, and checkers), or fitness activities for physical education classes in an educational institution. The comparative analysis of the obtained data demonstrates the pattern of an increase from 65.1% in the 2015-2016 academic year to 71.0% in the 2020-2021 academic year in the number of young men, who have chosen and are engaged in a certain sport in an educational institution, and decrease from 34.9% in the 2015-2016 academic year to 29.0% in the 2020-2021 academic year in the number of young women interested in physical activity at the university. Within five years, the number of young men choosing team sports has decreased from 75.6% in the 2015-2016 academic year to 63.3% in the 2020-2021 academic year, and the number of young men interested in individual sports has increased from 24.4 % in the 2015-2016 academic year to 36.7% in the 2020-2021 academic year. Fitness classes remain the most popular among female students, although there has been a decrease in the number of young women choosing it for physical education from 83.3% to 71.8% over five years. Team sports are gaining more popularity among first-year female students with only 5.3% choosing them as part of physical education in an educational institution in the 2015-2016 academic year, to 10.2% in the 2020-2021 academic year. A gradual interest in individual sports from 11.4% to 18.0% is observed in young women over five years.
