Assessing the application of big data technology in platform business model: A hierarchical framework

Abstract: This research aims to create a hierarchical framework for the development of a platform business model based on big data. However, this hierarchical framework must consider unnecessary attributes and the interrelationships between the aspects and the criteria. Hence, fuzzy set theory is used for screening out the unnecessary attributes, a decisionmaking and trial evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) is proposed to manage the complex interrelationships among the aspects and attributes, and interpretive structural mo… Show more

“…The use of big data by health-care organizations is closely related to performance improvement of an organization, creating value and guaranteeing a higher quality of service as well as the possibility of improving the quality of care provided (Wang et al , 2020). The second RA focuses on quality of service and includes six articles (Erickson and Rothberg, 2017; Wang and Hajli, 2017; Ratia et al , 2018; Xia et al , 2019; Du et al , 2020; Wang et al , 2020). A complete implementation of big data analysis can also generate a reduction in costs, better business planning, a better patient experience and, therefore, greater satisfaction (Erickson and Rothberg, 2017).…”

“…Liu et al ( 2020 ) suggested that big data could bring new ideas to the operation and management of the hotel industry. Du et al ( 2020 ) believed that big data would contribute to tourism management and the development of global tourism. As mobile internet and big data develop rapidly, research on smart travel has gone beyond the theoretical level; scholars begin to combine smart travel with big data and cloud computing to explore a way to practice smart travel (Du et al, 2020 ).…”

“…Unfortunately, there is a significant lack of definitions that reflect the newest “achievements” of e-commerce based on artificial intelligence (AI) implementation in the automation of transportation as a part of e-commerce supply/delivery processes [ 5 ]. This is relevant especially considering the hierarchical framework of e-commerce, consisting of three meta-levels: infrastructure, services, and products [ 6 ]. Additionally, several nodal problems have defined future developments in e-commerce, including integrating electronic platforms and electronic data interchange (EDI), new intermediation, and automation and structurally integrated autonomous transportation processes [ 7 ].…”
