“…Two days later, it was not detected above the LOQ of the method. Pokrant et al. (2019) reported that the depletion time for LIN residue concentrations in feathers was set at 98 d, but in chicken muscle, its residues could only be detected for 4 d after ceasing treatment (50 mg/kg BW for 7 d).…”

“…The internal standards (I.S.) ofloxacin-d 3 (OFL-d 3 , ≥ 99.0%), demeclocycline (DMC, ≥ 90.0%), sulfamethoxazole-(phenyl-13 C 6 ) (SMX- 13 C, ≥ 99.0%) and erythromycin-(N,N-dimethyl- 13 C 2 ) (ERY- 13 C, ≥ 99.0%) were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich (Steinheim, Germany). The structures of the target compounds, and their pK a and log K ow values, are presented in Table S1 in Electronic Supplementary Material (ESM).…”

“…Pre-treated faeces samples (0.5 g dry weight (dw)) were spiked with the I.S. (OFL-d 3 , DMC, SMX- 13 C and ERY-13 C) at 100 ng g −1 dw. Samples were extracted three times with 5 mL of MeOH by sonication in an ultrasonic bath (25 °C, 80 kHz) for 10 min.…”

“…Spectinomycin has strong antibacterial activity against Gram-negative bacteria and weak activity against Gram-positive bacteria, whereas lincomycin has no effect on Gram-negative bacteria but a strong antibacterial effect on Gram-positive bacteria. Therefore, spectinomycin and lincomycin are usually used in combination to treat infections with Gram-positive bacteria and Gram-negative bacteria and are widely used to treat piglet diarrhea and infection by Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae and Mycoplasma pneumoniae, which cause chronic respiratory diseases in chickens [3][4][5][6]. However, spectinomycin can damage the eighth cranial nerve, exert kidney toxicity and block neuromuscular transmission; lincomycin has strong side effects, damages the gastrointestinal tract and liver, and even causes anaphylactic shock and death.…”
