The aim of this study was to identify and quantify the phenolic composition of Turanecio hypochionaeus Bosse and determine the anti-urease, anti-lipase, antidiabetic, anti-melanogenesis, antibacterial, and anti-Alzheimer properties. IC 50 results for all enzymes were obtained between 0.234 -116.50 μg/mL and this plant inhibited HMG_CoA R and glucosidase enzymes more with IC 50 values of 0.234 and 116.50 μg/mL, respectively. Among the 11 secondary metabolites identified in T. hypochionaeus extract, chlorogenic acid 255.459 � 1.17 μg g À 1 ), benzoic acid (56.251 � 1.98 μg g À 1 ), and catechin (29.029 � 0.27 μg g À 1 ) were determined as the most abundant phenolic compounds. According to the results of the tested microorganisms, the plant extracts showed antimicrobial and antifungal properties in a dose-dependent manner. In molecular docking study, the interactions of active compounds extracted from Turanecio hypochionaeus plant and showing activity against diverse metabolic enzymes were examined. The most active compound 1, (chlorogenic acid) has À 12.80, À 12.80, À 12.60 and À 12.00 kcal/mol binding energy value against HMG_CoA R, and α-amylase, α-glucosidase, and lipase, respectively.

Introdução: A crescente resistência bacteriana aos antibióticos tornou-se uma ameaça à população. Devido ao avanço da fitoterapia nos últimos anos, estudos sobre a ação antimicrobiana de diferentes bioativos têm sido incentivados cada vez mais. De acordo com a literatura, Eugenia uniflora apresenta composição química complexa e seus compostos possuem atividade terapêutica anti-inflamatória, hipotensora, hipoglicemiante, antipirética e antibacteriana. No própolis, foram identificados cerca de 300 compostos relacionados a atividades farmacológicas como anti-inflamatória, antioxidante, antifúngica, hepatoprotetora e antibacteriana. Objetivo: Portanto, o trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar a atividade antimicrobiana individual e combinada dos extratos de E. uniflora e Própolis por checkerboard. Metodologia: Os extratos foram testados em triplicata, frente a Candida albicans, Escherichia coli e Staphylococcus aureus. A incubação foi realizada por 24 horas a 35 ± 2 ºC para bactérias, e 48 horas a 25 ± 2 ºC para o fungo. A avaliação dos resultados bacterianos foi realizada empregando cloreto de trifeniltetrazólio a 2% e a multiplicação fúngica pela turvação do meio. Resultados: Foram encontrados os valores de 62,50 e 7,81 mg/mL para C. albicans, E. coli 7,81 e 3,90 mg/ mL e S. aureus 7,81 e 7,81 mg/mL, para própolis e E. uniflora, respectivamente, quando combinados. Ao calcular o índice de concentração inibitória fracional, observou-se que os valores se compreenderam entre 0,74 e 1,06, indicando que não ocorreu interação entre os extratos avaliados. Conclusão: Assim, apesar da atividade antimicrobiana já comprovada para os extratos de E. uniflora e própolis, a combinação dos extratos não apresentou efeito sinérgico nas condições e metodologia avaliada.

In the present study, the main phytochemical components of endemic plant extracts and inhibitory potency were screened related to different biological activities. Seven compounds were quantified, and cyanidin‐3‐o‐glucoside was the dominant secondary metabolite in plant extracts. The extract from P. asiae‐minoris (PAM) exhibited the best enzyme inhibitory activity against BChE (1.73±0.23 µg mLˉˡ), tyrosinase (2.47±0.28 µg mLˉˡ), α‐glucosidase (5.28±0.66 µg mLˉˡ), AChE (8.66±0.86 µg mLˉˡ), and ACE (19.27±1.02 µg mLˉˡ). In vitro antioxidant assay, PAM extract possessed the highest activity in respect of DPPH radical scavenging (24.29±0.23 µg/mL), ABTS•+ scavenging (13.50±0.27 µg/mL) and FRAP reducing power (1.56±0.01 μmol TE/g extract). MIC values ranged from 1 ‐ 8 mg/mL for antibacterial ability, and the PAM extract showed a stronger effect for B. subtilis, E. faecalis, and E. coli at 1 mg/mL. The antiproliferative ability of AB extract demonstrated a suppressive effect (IC50: 70.26 µg/mL) for pancreatic cancer cell lines. According to the affinity scores, the cyanidin‐3‐o‐glucoside demonstrated the lowest docking scores against ACE, AChE, BChE, and collagenase. It was found that the PAM exhibited better inhibitory capabilities than A. bartinense. The P. asiae‐minoris, reported to be in the Critically Endangered (CR) category, should be conserved by culturing, considering its biological abilities.
