The article presents the results of the studied effect of biological nitrogen fixation on the yield, forage value, protein and oil productivity of soybean varieties belonging to the northern ecotype (Mageva, Okskaya and Svetlaya), depending on the water supply. Under the conditions of the Central Non-Chernozem Region, soybean varieties of the northern ecotype have been proved to provide the maximum yield of 3.05 t/ha; the protein content – of 43.51%; the fat content – of 20.67%; the protein yield – 1322 kg/ha; the yield of essential amino acids – 833 kg/ha; the fat yield – 531 kg/ha; the yield in forage units – 4118 kg/ha. In years with excessive and optimal water supply, pre-sowing seed inoculation with an active strain 605b of Rhizobium japonicum (Kirchner) significantly increases soybean productivity: the yield increases by 0.21-0.25 t/ha, the protein content in seeds – by 2.11-3.35%, the fat yield – by 0.33-0.57%, the protein yield – by 125-176 kg/ha, the fat yield – by 43-72 kg/ha, the yield of essential amino acids – by 84-111 kg/ha, the lysine yield – by 7-8 kg, the yield of unsaturated fatty acids – by 29-37 kg/ha, the yield in forage units – by 305-348 kg/ha.

Soybean production in Russia occupies one of the main niches in agriculture. An increase in the gross harvest and an increase in the efficiency of cultivation of agricultural crops within the framework of the state strategy of import substitution and strengthening food security are priority directions for developing the Russian agro-industrial complex in the context of the new agri-food policy. In Russia, the price of soybeans increases annually due to the ban on GM soybean production, the unstable situation in the world soybean market, the increase in Russian exports, and the interest of the world importer of soybean -China. Over 65 years, there have been significant changes in the structure of costs for soybean production in such items as the share of costs for seeds, agrochemicals, and fuel. Nowadays, among the considered enterprises producing soybeans in the Amur Region, on average, total costs were $ 406 per hectare in 2019. For the enterprise's profitability, it is important to properly invest in costs to obtain high yields, which will bring profit to producers. This article analyzed the pricing of 4 farms in the Amur Region and overviewed the situation of the soybean production. The authors made a prospective picture of soybean production in Amur Region and its price structure based on the survey data and statistical data.

Agricultural sciences publication activity in Russia and the impact of the national project “Science.” A bibliometric analysis

Science plays an important role in the development of agriculture. Publication activity is one of the factors in the assessment of science intensity in certain areas. Evaluating the number of articles on a specific topic in a certain period can indicate a trend in developing science in the country and international cooperation. Agricultural science in Russia lags far behind leading topics such as chemistry and physics, especially in international cooperation. This article aimed to assess the publication activity in Russia in the area of agriculture to analyze the development of agricultural science in the country and the impact of the national project “Science” on the trend of change. The authors used the Web of Science Core Collection database for this study and analyzed 7,436 papers on the topic of agriculture co-authored by Russian and foreign authors. This study showed the number of articles by year, research areas, and distribution publication records in collaboration with other countries. The article results showed that agricultural science has been growing in a general trend in recent years. The most significant increase in the overall publication in agriculture topics and cooperation occurred after the project “Science” was launched. The project showed a great impact on publication activity in Russia.
