“…Findings also confirmed that the students' challenges in the wake of COVID-19 could affect their academic performance, including but not limited to student's access to internet connectivity, most specifically, rurally located students (Dube, 2020;Omodan, 2020a;Oreku, 2021). Another challenge is the live streaming of theoretical teaching and learning devoid of practicals via "Google classroom, Zoom, Easy Class, Go To Meeting, Blackboard ® and WhatsApp" (Oreku, 2021;Jimola & Ofodu, 2021;Jinadu et al, 2021). It is important to spread awareness and the use of these tools to the public as it will significantly enhance the data collection process.…”

“…Apart from these challenges identified by researchers, remote data collection can be easier if things are in place. There are several online tools used for data collection; among them are; survey monkey (Jinadu and Balogun, 2020), qualtrics (Jinadu et al, 2021), google forms (Simplilearn, 2023;Cristobal-Fransi et al, 2020), telephone interviewing (Omodan, 2020), survey planet and other data collection methods. Therefore, it is important to spread awareness and the use of these tools to the public as it will significantly enhance the data collection process (Simplilearn, 2023).…”

“…But this unannounced pandemic forced education and other organizations to a new way of working online, which people neglected or thought was impossible. Besides the negative financial impact, health implications and the loss of lives, COVID-19 affected the education sector in every aspect, especially in teaching and learning (Adigun et al, 2021;Jinadu et al, 2021). Because there was no indication that a pandemic of this nature would happen, many universities that never had the intention of running online teaching and learning suddenly found themselves in this situation, which means that both students and lecturers must find the means of communication to engage in teaching and learning.…”
