Assessment of the reaction of the cardiovascular system to dosed physical activity of patients with metabolic syndrome under the influence of the use of physical therapy

Show more

“…In the complex of medical and rehabilitation measures for metabolic syndrome, an important place is given to means of physiotherapy. Under the influence of dosed physical activity in patients, hyperglycemia and glucosuria decrease, the action of insulin increases, visceral obesity decreases, blood pressure normalizes, and manifestations of heart failure decrease [51][52][53][54].…”

“…It is generally accepted that the current MS, called Syndrome X, was described by Gerald Reaven in 1988. According to Reaven [8,54], insulin resistance can be detected in 25% of people with a sedentary lifestyle. It is important to emphasize that his main merit lies in the fact that he named the common reason for the development of arterial hypertension (AH) in one patient, dyslipidemia with an increase in triglycerides (TG), a decrease in high density lipoproteins (HDL), as well as impaired glucose tolerance (IGT)insulin resistance [9].…”

“…The program of physical therapy of the main group included a hypocaloric diet with a lipid-lowering orientation (lipid-lowering diet No. 1) , the main principles of which are developed by the American Heart Association (Nishimura et al, 2017;Kalmykova et al, 2020;Members, et al, 2021;, therapeutic massage for patients with alimentary-constitutional obesity; kinesitherapy; self-study, training walking up the stairs, dosed walking.…”

“…Hot flushes, night sweats, mood fluctuations, joint pain, and dryness in the vaginal area are very common symptoms during the menopausal transition, along with physical consequences like reduced bone density, central obesity, unfavorable alterations in cholesterol levels, vascular changes, and insulin resistance (IR) (Davis & Baber, 2022). Additionally, numerous metabolic issues arise, including weight gain as well as abnormalities in glucose and lipid metabolic processes (Kalmykova et al, 2020). Consequently, the risk of developing type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, and cancer increases (Li et al, 2022).…”
