To understand opportunities Blockchain offers for development, we propose a novel framework that considers Business-, Society-, Economy & Finance-, Technology-, and Policy-related factors. It illustrates the complex and multifaceted role of Blockchain in development and is useful in guiding research efforts, formulating actionable advice, and promoting development. We created it methodically, drawing from systematic literature reviews and the authors' experience with Blockchain and development. Adequately designed and deployed Blockchain systems are relevant contributions that can help address problems that afflict our society, making it more inclusive, fair, and resilient. Solutions that many countries have already adopted in various sectors (e.g. public, financial, business, technology, education) demonstrate the importance of Blockchain to advance development. Further, less developed countries have a window of opportunity to avoid the typical lag in the adoption of Information and Communication Technologies and make quantum leaps that will put them on par with more developed counterparts.

Bias in data can have unintended consequences which propagate to the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models. In the financial services sector, this can result in discrimination from certain financial instruments and services. At the same time, data privacy is of paramount importance, and recent data breaches have seen reputational damage for large institutions. Presented in this paper is a trusted model-lifecycle management platform that attempts to ensure consumer data protection, anonymization, and fairness. Specifically, we examine how datasets can be reproduced using deep learning techniques to effectively retain important statistical features in datasets whilst simultaneously protecting data privacy and enabling safe and secure sharing of sensitive personal information beyond the current state-of-practice.

Summary Difficulties in financing and low utilization of funds are main financial problems that plague the development of small and medium‐sized enterprises. The key to solving this problem lies in opening up the social data circulation between enterprises. It is a good solution for enterprises with frequent data interactions to form groups. Using group loans, the borrowing enterprises could solve the funding difficulties and the loan enterprises could improve the utilization rate of funds. In this article, we construct a group loan system based on blockchain technology, which can promote the free flow of funds among enterprises in the group. We combine the blockchain with the trusted execution environment to realize the automatic determination of loan conditions and realize the automatic execution of smart contracts. We also use the linkable group signature technology to ensure the traceability of loan users while protecting the anonymity. In addition, we use homomorphic encryption technology to make the statement confidential and computable.
