Abstract: It is unclear whether the atherogenic index of plasma (AIP) is associated with major adverse cardiovascular events (MACEs) in the general population. A total of 361,644 participants (aged 56.19 ± 8.09 years; 44.79% male) free of a history of MACEs at baseline from the UK Biobank data were included in the analysis.
