Abstract: Methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) is involved in the homocysteine metabolism. Two common variants of MTHFR gene (677C>T and 1298A>C), have been reported to reduce the MTHFR enzyme activity and leading to plasma hyperhomocysteinemia.
