Association of prepartum lying time with nonesterified fatty acids and stillbirth in prepartum dairy heifers and cows

Abstract: The objective of the present study was to assess the association of prepartum lying time (LT) and the coefficient of variation (CV) of LT within 7 d before calving with prepartum serum nonesterified fatty acid (NEFA) concentration at 7 ± 3 d prepartum (dpp) and stillbirth.
