The human factor is often recognised as a major aspect of cyber-security research. Risk and situational perception are identified as key factors in the decision making process, often playing a lead role in the adoption of security mechanisms. However, risk awareness and perception have been poorly investigated in the field of eHealth wearables. Whilst end-users often have limited understanding of privacy and security of wearables, assessing the perceived risks and consequences will help shape the usability of future security mechanisms. This paper present a survey of the the risks and situational awareness in eHealth services. An analysis of the lack of security and privacy measures in connected health devices is described with recommendations to circumvent critical situations.

The goal of this study is to measure the cyber security awareness of medical professionals in Poland, i.e. to verify whether healthcare specialists have knowledge and understanding of basic cyber security threats. This survey was based on the cyber security recommendations from the European Union Agency for Network and Information Security and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The survey consisted of 23 single and multiple-choice questions divided into four parts. The results categorized the respondents and measured the level of cyber security awareness. Among the 620 persons invited to participate in the survey, 300 (48.39%) responded and answered all of the questions. The results show a an unsatisfactory level of knowledge regarding information security in Poland. The main conclusion drawn from the survey is that the quality of cyber security training among medical professionals should be improved and frequency of the trainings should be increased.

Abstract-This paper presents an empirical framework for implementing Situation Awareness Measurement Techniques in a Network Defense environment. Bearing in mind the rise of Cyber-crime and the importance of Cyber security, the role of the security analyst (or as this paper will refer to them, defenders) is critical. In this paper the role of Situation Awareness Measurement Techniques will be presented and explained briefly. Input from previous studies will be given and an empirical framework of how to measure Situation Awareness in a computing network environment will be offered in two main parts. The first one will include the networking infrastructure of the system. The second part will be focused on specifying which Situation Awareness Techniques are going to be used and which Situation Awareness critical questions need to be asked to improve future decision making in cyber-security. Finally, a discussion will take place concerning the proposed approach, the chosen methodology and further validation.
