Automatische Rekonstruktion von Phasenverteilungen aus Interferogrammen / Automatic reconstruction of phase distributions from interferograms

Abstract

The crucial step in the quantitative evaluation of interference patterns is the reconstruction of the interference phase distribution from the interferogram. This phase distribution then is combined with the data determined by the method and the experimental arrangement to calculate the value to be measured. The methods for reconstructing the phase distribution explained here are fringe-tracking, Fourier-transform-method, spatial and temporal heterodyning, phase-lock method, phase-shift methods and the electrooptic holography. Some of the methods are demonstrated exemplarily at holographic interferograms. The methods are compared with regard to precision, resolution, sensitivity, systematic errors, inherent noise reduction, required technical and computational effort and the ability to be automated.
