Bacterial Pathogens Isolated From Surgical Site Infections and Their Antibiotic Susceptibility

Abstract: The increased reservoir of pathogenic bacteria sheltered in hospitals is the cause of various types of nosocomial infections and represents one of the major health problems. Surgical site infections (SSIs) count for 14 -16% of all hospital-acquired infections (HAI) and represent the 3 rd most occurring nosocomial infections and the 3 rd most expensive HAI.
