Banishing “Siberia” and Student Seclusion: Leading Trauma-Informed Systems Change in a Rural School

Abstract: Trauma-informed school practices require enactment of trauma-informed principles including prioritizing students’ physical and psychological safety, connection, cultural responsiveness, and student empowerment.
