“…In March 2010, 9 highway bridges at 7 crossings over the Missouri River near Kansas City, Missouri, were assessed using the MBMS (Huizinga, 2010); and in October 2010, 12 highway bridges at 7 crossings over the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers near St. Louis, Mo., were assessed . During high-flow conditions in June-August 2011, many of the highway bridges and several of the railroad bridges along the entirety of the Missouri River downstream from Montana were assessed (Densmore and others, 2013;Dietsch and others, 2014), including the 37 highway bridges (at 28 crossings) that span the Missouri River in and into Missouri (Huizinga, 2012). In April and May 2013, 10 highway bridges at 9 crossings over the Missouri River between Kansas City and St. Louis, Mo., were assessed as part of more routine, nonflood surveys at bridge sites in and into Missouri .…”
