Biaxial Loading of Offshore Monopiles: Numerical Modeling

Abstract: In this paper, the FE software package PLAXIS 3D (2013) is used to examine the influence of biaxial lateral loading of a monopile foundation. Two different soil models are adopted to investigate the influence of state-dependent and anisotropic behaviour of soil on monopile response.
