“…The analysis of scientific production, based on bibliometric parameters, is an essential tool for evaluating knowledge and determining the progress of disciplines and their fields. In the present case, given the specificity of the subject, this type of work provides useful information to understand the general properties of the state of knowledge about art therapy (Capilla-Díaz et al, 2020), since it offers a retrospective vision of the scientific production in the world based on the main bibliometric indicators.…”

“…Bibliometric analysis is a powerful statistical analysis tool, contributing to conduct a scientific and objective analysis of the articles quantitatively (Capilla et al, 2020; Yang et al., 2019), through which we can gain an in‐depth understanding of a research domain, the topical hotspots and emerging trends comprehensively and systematically. Also, it has been widely used in many areas, such as nursing (Dong et al., 2020; Kantek & Yesilbas, 2020; Nicoll et al., 2020; Zhu et al., 2020), biology (Zhai et al., 2018) and medicine (Zhao et al, 2018).…”

“…Bibliometrics has been used in certain aspects of the field of nursing, including nursing‐related research (Traynor et al., 2001), exceptional articles (Nicoll et al., 2018, 2020), nursing competences (Blazun et al., 2015), and clinical simulation (Kokol et al., 2017). Certain other aspects focus on the bibliometrics of qualitative research (Capilla‐Díaz et al., 2020) or selected journals (Giménez‐Espert & Prado‐Gascó, 2019; Železnik et al., 2017). Bibliometric analysis allows documentation of the dissemination of research to clinicians.…”
