Bibliometric studies of scientific collaboration: International trends

Abstract: Domestic and foreign bibliometric studies of trends in national and international scientific collab oration are discussed. Special attention is given to differences in various fields of knowledge and to the effect of distance on scientific collaboration. Globalization of science is demonstrated based on representative data on the increasing distance in scientific collaboration in all fields of knowledge, including social sciences and humanities.
