Проанализированы возможности библиометрических методов для информационного сопровождения научных исследований в зарубежных университетах, лидерах по версии мировых рейтингов QS World University Rankings и Academic Ranking of World Universities. Проведенное исследование позволило выделить информационные услуги и информационные продукты, предоставляемые с помощью библиометрических (или наукометрических) данных и методов в зарубежных университетах, дать им характеристику, определить информационные ресурсы и технологии, наиболее используемые при выполнении описанных информационных услуг.Ключевые слова: информационное сопровождение НИР, библиометрические ресурсы, библиометрические услуги, библиографический менеджер Для цитирования: Павлова А. The study made it possible to identify information services and information products provided using bibliometric (or scientometric) data and methods in foreign universities, to determine their characteristics, as well as to define the information resources and tools most frequently used to provide selected information services. Findings of the bibliometric analysis of national library and information journals are highlighted. The range of publications for comparative analysis is reviewed. The key bibliometric indicators for journals assessment are defined; the choice of the data source, namely RSCI database is substantiated. Among the indicators selected for analysis are: number of publications and citations, two-year impact factor, 5-year impact factor, five-year self-citation coefficient, 5-year Herfindahl index - by citation journals and by author’s institutions. On the basis of average factors, the citation dynamics for 2013 - 2015 is determined. Other factors of journals’ authority are also discussed: Inclusion into the HAC (Highest Attestation Commission), world abstract databases and Web of Science and Scopus citation systems.

The results of bibliometric analysis of using digital versions of articles of “Scientific and Technical Libraries” Journal in 2017 are published. Russian Science Citation Index and retrieval results for the queries made via RNPLS&T www-site, elibrary.ru, and click-through from search Internet portals, are compared. Data on the articles cited in Russian Science Citation Index and WoS are given. The major part of accesses is observed within the first months since publication and then their number decreases though individual articles get high level of access for many years. The queries from libraries’ research and educational organizations are analyzed. The author offers recommendations on how to increase demand and citation of the articles. The bibliometric analysis demonstrates that digital versions of the journal publications are demanded by the professional community and other users accessing them via Internet search portals. The Scientific and Technical Libraries’ should expand their abstracts—their content and completeness influence indexing provided by search systems. They also often underestimate citations within the subject they are exploring which results in unnecessarily low citation the Russian Science Citation Index and WoS.
