“…Hydroxyapatite might be a more appropriate column packing for that purpose. In a previous work [27] ,we purified sera from healthy control subjects through a hydroxylapatite HPLC column and detected only a sharp peak of BGP eluting at 12 min at the beginning of the gradient (carboxylated BGP) and trace amounts of BGP (0·7% of the total BGP injected), which correspond to decarboxylated BGP, that did not bind to the column. This system did not allow us to distinguish between different forms of carboxylated BGP.…”
