Some of our results go along with Barretto and Vootla’s (2020) work on melanin from Cryptococcus rajasthanensis KY627764 associated with the gut of Bombyx mori at concentrations of 25–100 μg/ml, which was documented to have antimicrobial activity against S. aureus, B. subtilis, E. coli , and P. aeruginosa with inhibition zone diameters of 10, 16, 12, and 18 mm, respectively. It also showed antifungal activity when tested against C. albicans at concentrations ranging from 25 to 100 μg/ml, with a 4- to 20-mm inhibition zone recorded.…”
