Biological microchip for assessing tetracycline-resistance in Neisseria gonorrhoeae clinical isolates in Russian Federation

Abstract: A total of 399 Neisseria gonorrhoeae clinical isolates collected in different regions of the Russian Federation in 20152017 were analyzed for tetracycline susceptibility and genetic markers of resistance. Drug susceptibility testing was performed by serial dilution method in agar and minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) was measured according to the Russian “Guidelines for microbial susceptibility testing for antibacterial agents No. 4.2.1890-04”. Tetracycline resistance determinants were studied by using hy… Show more

“…Through literature review using systematic methodology, we identified seven relevant records corresponding to five studies of gonococcal isolates in Georgia [20], Ukraine [21,22] and the Russian Federation [23][24][25][26] (a flow chart of searches and details about these studies are listed in Supplement 2 Figure S1 and Table S2). We assessed an additional five full text articles and excluded them, with reasons provided in Supplement 2 Table S3 [ [27][28][29][30][31].…”
