Biomass, gas exchange, and nutrient contents in upland rice plants affected by application forms of microorganism growth promoters

Abstract: Microorganisms are considered a genetic resource with great potential for achieving sustainable development of agricultural areas. The objective of this research was to determine the effect of microorganism application forms on the production of biomass, gas exchange, and nutrient content in upland rice. The experiment was conducted under greenhouse conditions in a completely randomized design in a factorial 7 × 3 + 1, with four replications. The treatments consisted of combining seven microorganisms with thre… Show more

“…have attested their growth-promoting potential in rice Rêgo, Borges, Filippi, Gonc ßalves, & Silva, 2014) and Brachiaria brizantha (Lopes et al, unpublished). These rhizobacteria are known to increase the auxin synthesis, nutrient uptake (e.g., nitrogen, phosphorus and iron), chlorophyll content, photosynthetic rate and biomass production (Ahemad & Kibret, 2014;Nascente et al, 2016).…”

“…These improved responses might have contributed to the increased relative growth rate and biomass production measured on those plants. The positive effect of plant growth-promotion rhizobacteria on net photosynthetic is also reported in rice [19].…”

A cultura nesse ambiente tem crescido em importância por causa da diminuição da disponibilidade de água para o cultivo do arroz irrigado (Bouman et al, 2005;Crusciol et al, 2013a;Nascente et al, 2017).…”
