“…The XRD patterns of HA/Zein NPs and HA/Zein‐DOX NPs demonstrated that the biomimetic minerals formed on Zein were indeed HA (Figure ) by the characteristic peaks at 25.9°, 32.2°, 33.1°, 34.1° and 46.7° (JCPDS card 09‐432). These results were consistent with our previous work . Interestingly, the peaks corresponding to crystalline DOX were maintained for the Zein‐DOX NPs, suggesting that the crystallinity of DOX did not change.…”

“…The FTIR spectrum of Zein exhibited characteristic bands around 1675 and 1550 cm −1 , which were attributed to the amide I and amide II of Zein in Figure . HA/Zein NPs and HA/Zein‐DOX NPs showed characteristic bands of HA at 1092, 1036, 962, 604 and 565 cm −1 assigned to different vibration modes of PO43- group, and at 3569 cm −1 due to the stretching vibration of hydroxyl group . Combined with XRD results, this demonstrates that HA was successfully biomineralized on HA/Zein NPs and HA/Zein‐DOX NPs.…”
