Blood Pressure and Cardiovascular Complications in Diabetic Dialysis Patients

Abstract

SUMMARY Diabetic nephropathy is one of the most frequent causes of renal failure. Diabetes increases the cardiovascular risk by 2–4 times that of the general population; hypertension increases this risk. Diabetes is a factor that shortens the survival of renal patients. Appropriate hospital care and attention can diminish complications in these patients and improve quality of life.
